Die Veranstaltung führt in die grundlegenden Konzepte und Interna von Betriebssystem-Kernen für Eingebettete Echtzeitsysteme ein und behandelt folgende Themen:- General kernel-design and implementation
- Hardware abstraction
- Task scheduling and preemption concepts
- Kernel Algorithms and data structures
- Time management and temporal semantics
- Interrupt and exception handling
- Event management
- Resource management
- API design
- Zur Vertiefung der Inhalte werden praktische Übungen angeboten (s. "Real-Time Operating Systems, LU" und "Real-Time Operating Systems, PT").
